I had to move my site due to Tripods new policy of only providing 20 megs of free space, my site currently uses the old maximum at nearly 49 megs. As you may have noticed my site was also being shut down on a daily basis due to exceeding Tripod's new bandwidth policy--but hey what could I expect for free. It was fun while it lasted.

In the coming weeks I hope to release the new format of Alpinejo-Backcountry Trails Guide with a new database and searching capabilities.

Thanks for visiting!

Cooper Lake is a peaceful place.

We did this in the winter, so we only seen the trail about every 1/4 mile or so. The thing about this hike now is that they fixed the road/bridge into the lake. So the once quiet and peaceful feeling is gone. Also there are numerous cabins at the lake.

We did not see another sole the entire weekend.

It is a nice meandering hike though the forest alongside the Cooper river.

I tried my hand at fishing but not much luck. We fished the outlet stream.

Do it again? No
